GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It's the first time I've done this on an episode of "Try It Before You Buy It." I gave a product another chance to redeem itself, after it was discovered that my prior test was altered with.
The "Chill Chest" features "temperature lock technology" to trap the cold inside, claiming to keep food fresh and chill without the use of ice.
It goes for $19.99 on Amazon.
It can hold up to 60 cans and claims to keep them cold for up to 10 hours. But does it actually live up to its claims?
The first time I tested it, it failed to keep a few dozen water bottles cool. But I later discovered, during my testing, that the "Chill Chest" had been opened by a photographer (accidentally, oops!).
