Try It Before You Buy It: XHose Pro

Is the XHose Pro a lightweight, kink-free alternative to traditional outdoor hoses? We test it out.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Are things getting kinky in your backyard?

Looking for a better hose?

The Xhose Pro claims to be a lightweight, kink-free hose that can expand and contract when needed, but does it?

Let’s try it

The Xhose Pro comes in a box and includes one extra rubber gasket. Right out of the package, this hose was tangled in knots. We were able to untangle it pretty quickly and could notice its stretchiness. Plus, it was pretty lightweight.

First up, we had to buy a nozzle because it recommends one but doesn’t come with it. We hooked the hose up outside and then put the nozzle on. We then turned the water on and watched as the hose gr0w. It was pretty cool to watch. We opened the valve on the hose, which is better than the old kink method, and proceeded to spray water out of the hose. It seemed to have good flow and pressure with our nozzle. We then tried to kink the hose, and no matter what we tried, we couldn’t stop the flow. We even stood on the hose, and it didn’t stop.

The hose was easy to move around, and when we were done with it, we shut the water off and watched it shrink back down to its standard size. We found this was easy to store in a regular bucket.

Overall this hose worked great and with no real kinks

Now the results:

The Positives:

  • Lightweight
  • It takes up less space
  • Kink free

The Negatives:

  • There were no negatives

The XHose Pro amazed us. It lived up to all of its claims. It never kinked and was lightweight. We couldn’t find any negatives. so we rate this as a “Buy It.”
