HEATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A 27-year-old Hudsonville man is dead following an ORV crash in Allegan County Saturday night.
It happened around 10:15 p.m. in the Allegan State Game area off 47th Street in Heath Township. Deputies say approximately a half mile in the state game area, crews found an ORV that had collided with a fallen tree on the trail.
The Hudsonville man was the passenger on the ORV and pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Michigan State Police, Hamilton Fire Department, Graafschap Fire Department, and Holland AMR.
Deputies are not releasing the names of the victim or other person involved until further investigation. The case will be turned over to the Allegan County Prosecutor's Office for review.
