WYOMING, Mich. — Codie Coronado is still holding out hope that police will find whoever killed her nephew Kane Coronado.
"Somebody needs to speak up," said Codie. "Somebody seen something."
He was part of the bike-riding group "Big Rippers 616" and was often called the "wheelie king" by his friends.
"They just need to find out because it's not fair that he passed away pretty much for absolutely no reason that anybody can think of," said Codie.
In it, they describe the details of the shooting, the investigation, and the suspect's description and sketch.
An eyewitness described him as a 30-year-old male, thin build, a thin light gray colored beard, wearing a beany or stocking cop. He was driving a gray, older model four-door car with minor damage.
"The new podcast is just to bring it forward again, because my mom passed away and she's not here to push it no more," said Codie.
Tonya Furgeson, Kane's Grandma and Codie's mom, who we've previously talked to, died last July from lung cancer.
Her not knowing what happened to her grandson, Codie says, breaks her heart.
However, she hopes the new interest in the case will help bring someone forward with information, soon.
"She did pass away without knowing but in my head, I know that my mom knows now," said Codie. "You know what I mean? But we here on Earth, we still need to push forward to figure out who who killed Kane. Who killed Kane, we need justice for Kane."
There's currently a $6,000 reward for information to help find the suspect.
If you have any information, you're asked to call the Wyoming Police Department or Silent Observer.
