ORANGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- Crews are looking into the cause of an overnight fire in a barn at an Ionia County chicken farm.
Dispatchers reported the fire around 2 a.m. Thursday at the Herbrucks Poultry Farm on South State Road (M-66), just north of I-96.
Five area fire departments responded to the fire in a barn housing 200,000 chickens.
A farm representative says the fire was minor and contained to the front of the structure. He did not say if any poultry were lost in the fire, which was put out by 2:30 a.m.
According to Ionia County Central Dispatch, there were no injuries reported.
