GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police are investigating a shooting in the area of Burton Street and Kalamazoo Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
GRPD told 13 ON YOUR SIDE they responded to reports of two cars exchanging gunfire in the area.
Later, a 16-year-old arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. GRPD confirmed the teen is in critical condition.
As of 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers were still on scene in front of the Marathon gas station at the intersection.
