Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) is investigating a Wednesday evening shooting that left one person injured.
According to a release from GRPD, it happened around 7 p.m. at Hall Street Party Store, located at 110 Hall St. SW. The victim was outside the party store and got into a fight with the suspect, police said.
When the victim left the store, police said the suspect shot him in the right arm. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The release states at least 3 rounds of shots were fired Wednesday night. The scene was located on the sidewalk and in the party store's parking lot.
Police said the suspect fled the scene in a gray or silver car and headed east on Hall Street.
The suspect is described as a man in his late teens or early 20s with a thin build, about 5'10" and has a short afro. He was last seen wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with camouflage print on it, black pants and black shoes.
The incident is still under investigation.
