Deputy struck by vehicle in Kent County Wednesday night

KCSO was assisting Wyoming Public Safety during an arrest near Eastern Avenue and 32nd Street when the incident occurred.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Wednesday night the Kent County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) reported in a post to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, saying a KCSO deputy was struck by a vehicle.

KCSO was assisting Wyoming Public Safety during an arrest near Eastern Avenue and 32nd Street when the incident occurred.

The deputy was taken to the hospital where KCSO said he was evaluated and is expected to be released.

KCSO said they would provide further updates on Thursday.
