Kentwood Police investigating two shootings Sunday

At this time, police do not know if the two incidents are related.

KENTWOOD, Mich. — Kentwood Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that happened Sunday afternoon.

First, a 17-year-old showed up at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He told police he had been walking in the 1500 block of 60th St SE when he was shot at by unknown people in a vehicle.

A 31-year-old man also went to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound Sunday. He told police he had been driving on an unknown block of Eastern Ave SE when he was shot.

At this time, police do not know if the two incidents are related. However, the Kentwood Police Department is investigating and does not believe there is an immediate threat to the public at this time.
