Man injured after overnight drive-by shooting in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg after an overnight drive-by shooting on the southeast side of Grand Rapids. 

GRPD tells 13 ON YOUR SIDE that it happened just before midnight in the 300 block of Griggs Street SE. 

Investigators say a man was sitting in a parked car when another driver pulled up alongside the parked vehicle and fired several shots. The victim was shot in the upper leg and taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive. 

Police say no arrests have been made and there is no information on possible suspects at this time.
