FLINT, Mich. — A groomsman died the night of the wedding.

Flint Police believe the groom and the bride had something to do with it.

Authorities said Wednesday they arrested 22-year-old James Shirah and 21-year-old Savahna Collier. They're suspects in the death of 29-year-old Terry Lewis Taylor Jr. on Friday, Aug. 30.

Shirah, the groom, was charged and arraigned for second-degree murder. He's being held without bond.

The bride Collier was charged and arraigned for accessory after the fact of a felony. Her bond was set at $4,000.

Detectives said that Shirah and Collier got married on Friday, Aug. 30. Taylor Jr. attended the wedding as a groomsman.

However, later that night around 8 p.m., authorities responded to the 1400 block of E. Hamilton for a reported pedestrian injury crash.

The victim, later identified as Taylor Jr., had severe injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Investigators believe after the wedding, Taylor Jr. was involved in an argument, and that led to him getting intentionally struck by a large, speeding SUV.

The groom was driving, authorities said.
