LOWELL, Mich. — One person is in custody following a bomb threat at a Lowell business Thursday morning.
Multiple agencies responded to Litehouse Foods in Lowell after the report of a bomb threat at around 8:30 a.m., the Lowell Police Department said.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office and Michigan State Police K-9 Units alongside a drone operator were able to determine that there was no viable threat.
A Lowell Police detective was able to determine a suspect after working with management from Litehouse Foods.
The suspect was arrested on the charge of making a terroristic threat following an interview by authorities.
The suspect is currently lodged at the Kent County Correctional Facility while they wait to be arraigned.
The Lowell Police Department and Fire Department, Rockford Ambulance, the Kent County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police all assisted in the response to the incident.
