MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — A suspect accused in a stabbing attack Thursday evening is now in custody, the Muskegon County Sheriff's Office said.
The altercation happened just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 4000 block of E. Laketon Avenue in Egleston Township, authorities said.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the assault and found a man with multiple stab wounds from a "known suspect."
Before law enforcement arrived, the suspect had already left, the sheriff's office said.
With help from the Detroit Police Department, officers in Detroit arrested the suspect and took the person into custody.
The suspect now awaits arraignment in Muskegon County 60th District Court.
