Muskegon woman arrested with meth suspect in Upper Peninsula

Two people arrested after an assault investigation led to the discovery of a meth lab in Big Bay, Mich., last week were arraigned Monday in Marquette County District Court.

Two people arrested after an assault investigation led to the discovery of a meth lab in Big Bay, Mich., last week were arraigned Monday in Marquette County District Court.

Taylor Trezona, 21 of Big Bay, is charged with possession of meth and possession of less than 25 grams of a narcotic. Trezona’s bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000.

Holly Bates, 31 of Muskegon, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and retail fraud. Her bond was set at 10 percent of $12,500.

The two were arrested Thursday after Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched to the Perkins Park Campground to investigate an assault at a nearby store. Upon arrival, they located Bates at a campsite and also found a one pot meth lab in a pop-up camper.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in district court for preliminary exams Aug. 30.
