4 arrested following cellphone store robbery in Grand Rapids

Multiple crews were called to the 900 block of Alpine Avenue NW.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police in Grand Rapids were called to a scene Tuesday night to investigate what they are calling a "critical incident."

Multiple crews were called to the 900 block of  Alpine Avenue NW. Police said it was related to multiple robberies in the area and four people were arrested. The incident Tuesday night started at 8:15 p.m.

The arrests made were the result of a multi-day investigation that started with a cellphone store robbery on Monday in Grand Rapids on Michigan Avenue.

Police were able to identify four people that they believe were involved with that robbery. Three ran into a nearby store and one ran into a house. After the critical incident all four were taken into police custody and no one was injured.

No charges have been filed and the names of the suspects have not been released. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
