1 injured in shooting in Grand Rapids early Saturday morning

GRPD said the victim is expected to recover, but they're still looking for a suspect.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One person is injured after a shooting in Grand Rapids early Saturday morning. 

According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting in an area near Rau's Party Store at 2025 Division Avenue S around 1 a.m.

When officers arrived, they said one person was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital. They said the person is expected to recover. 

GRPD is still looking for a suspect.
