West Michigan couple accused of stealing from gas stations arrested in Florida

Bradley Johnson and Tauna Parfait are accused of stealing from gas stations across West Michigan.

A West Michigan couple accused of posing as management of gas stations as a way to steal money from clerks are now in custody in Florida.

Deputies have been looking for 33 year olds Bradley Johnson and Tauna Parfait for two weeks.

The pair have allegedly hit gas stations from Grand Rapids to Morley, posing as members of management and conning clerks out of money from their registers.

Investigators spotted them at a Kent County truck stop on Dec. 10, but the couple rammed a police cruiser and got away.

They stole a car from a business at Ten Mile Road and U.S.-131 on Dec. 15.

But Saturday, they were arrested in Jupiter, Fla. after a police chase.

Johnson is being held on a string of charges, including assaulting an officer and fleeing police. Parfait is facing car theft charges.

Kent County prosecutors say they are working to bring the couple back to Grand Rapids.
