Woman dead after Monday shooting in Muskegon Heights

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — On Monday, November 30 Muskegon Heights Police say dispatch received calls of shots fired in the 2300 block of Howden Street.

Callers reported that several shots had been fired, one caller reported that someone had been shot.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 38-year-old woman, identified as Carrie Golidy who had been shot.

EMS responded as well and transported the woman to a nearby hospital.

The Muskegon Heights Police Department said they were notified two days later that the woman had died from her injuries.

The Muskegon Heights Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident, they are asking anyone with information to contact the City of Muskegon Heights Police Department (231) 733-8900 or Muskegon County Silent Observer (231) 722-3751.
