Students at Kenowa Hills Middle School will have class on Thursday Sept. 8, after mold concerns delayed the start of the school year.
Air quality test taken by independent, certified industrial hygienists show the entire building is now clear. Classes start at 7:45 a.m.
Kenowa Hills officials said the school buildings were not ready for the scheduled start of classes because of mold contamination. A springtime hail storm damaged the schools' roofs, and additional rain since cause mold to grow in the moist ceilings, walls and cabinets.
