MUSKEGON, Mich. — This spring break children can practice their reading skills with a pair of adorable furry friends at Hackley Public Library in Muskegon.

Monday the library will host its "Paws and Read" event.

Children, ages three through twelve can sign up for a 20-minute time slot to read to a therapy dog.

The library said spots to read to either Dolly or Breezy are filling up.

Organizers say this is a great way to practice reading in front of therapy dogs that are trained to keep children calm and feel safe.

Signing up is free, however, you need to register in advance. To register you can call 231-722-8014.
