Whether it is a 5K, 10K or the whole half marathon, women all over are participating in the Gazelle Girl run this weekend. This is the seventh year for the event. It helps support local women's charities like Gazelle Sports Foundation, Girls on the Run, GROW, and YWCA. 100% of the proceeds from the event go to those charity partners.
The first runners will get going at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The finish line will be on Ottawa Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids, between Michigan and Lyon Streets and will remain open until 12:00 p.m. The awards ceremony is taking place at 10:30 a.m. at the Finish Line Festival Tent.
