KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — A 15-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in Oshtemo Township on Tuesday, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office.
KCSO said at 11:58 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 5200 block of W KL Avenue for multiple calls of shots fired.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. He's been identified as Duane Kevin Lewis of Kalamazoo County.
First responders began treating him and he was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies said the investigation into the incident is ongoing and they've collected multiple pieces of evidence from the scene.
