GRPD investigating suspicious death on city's southwest side

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating a suspicious death after they found a body on Saturday morning. 

Around 10:40 a.m. officers were called to Roosevelt Park on Godfrey Avenue SW and found a dead man along Plaster Creek, police said. 

GRPD said a suspicious death investigation is being conducted by its Major Case Team. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact GRPD or Silent Observer.
