GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man riding a moped was hit and killed in Grand Rapids early Friday morning, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD).
Officers said around 7:30 a.m. a man was driving his moped north on Division Avenue S when he was hit by a car traveling southbound making an eastbound turn onto 28th Street.
The moped driver died in the crash. There were no other injuries, police said.
This crash is still under investigation by the GRPD Traffic Unit. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Ofc. Ewald at jewald@grcity.us.
