KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — One woman is dead after a crash Sunday morning on M-89.
Michigan State Police Paw Paw post troopers said the crash happened around 8:40 a.m. near E B Avenue in Richland Township.
Troopers said a Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound on M-89 and lost control, crossing the center line and hitting a Dodge Durango head-on.
The driver of the Ford, a 20-year-old woman from Allegan, died on the scene. The driver of the Dodge, a 41-year-old Plainwell man, was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to troopers.
Deputies said driving too fast for conditions appears to be a factor in the crash.
The crash is currently under investigation.
