One injured after morning shooting in Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids Police said the shooting occurred around 6 a.m. Sunday.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police were called to the area of Eastern Ave. SE and MLK Jr. St. SE Sunday morning for reports of a shooting. They say the incident occurred around 6 a.m. 

The Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) told 13 ON YOUR SIDE there was one victim who is facing multiple injuries. They were brought to the hospital. Their current condition is unknown. 

GRPD also says that the victim is not providing any information in the investigation. For that reason, no suspect information has been released.
