CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. — Penelope "Penny" Wise, 17 years old, has been missing since May 31. Now, after almost two weeks, Silent Observer is offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps detectives find her.

Penelope went missing around 6 p.m. on May 31 from her home in Cedar Springs. She left her home on foot and security footage was recovered that shows her walking on Rockford Park Drive near Northland Drive, about 5 miles away from her home later that evening.

13 ON YOUR SIDE spoke with Penelope's family about a week after the girl went missing.

"We want her to know that we love her, we care for her," said her mother Mishael Wise. "Our number one priority is we want to know she's safe. We need for her to reach out to somebody."

Mishael also said there were no signs leading up to when their daughter left home. However, the parents did find a phone she had been hiding from them.

Her parents said Penelope also struggles with her mental health, and that while she has left home on her own before it has never been for more than a few hours.

If you have information that could lead detectives to Penny's location and safe return, please contact the Kent County Sheriff's Office at 616-632-6125 until 5:00 pm and 616-632-6100 after 5:00 pm.
