13 ON YOUR SIDE Morning Team members participate in fundraiser for Parkinson's center

All proceeds from the event went toward the West Michigan Parkinson's Support Center.

BYRON CENTER, Mich. — Members of the 13 ON YOUR SIDE morning team were at the Rock Steady West Michigan location in Byron Center over the weekend to support the West Michigan Parkinson's Support Center.

Saturday's fundraiser included a community picnic, chili cook-off, classic car show, pie-eating contest and more! All proceeds went toward the Parkinson's Support Center. Officials with the center say they're hoping to support more programs with the funding.

The highlight of the event was the blueberry pie eating competition featuring 13 ON YOUR SIDE's Tanner Holbrook.

The center's director, Amy Hooyer, is quite passionate about this cause and took home first place in the competition. Colin Smidestra took second place, Holbrook finished third and Deputy Jeff Bylsma finished last.
