WALKER, Mich. — A total of 17 dogs that were living in a pickup truck with their owner are now at an animal shelter, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say the dogs were rescued around 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Dollar Tree in Walker. A concerned citizen had reported the dogs to police after seeing them inside the truck.
The dogs had been living in the car with their owner, according to deputies.
The dogs are now with the Kent County Animal Shelter.
The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
