BYRON CENTER, Mich. — A 19 year old Byron Center man was rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning after being involved in a violent wreck in Byron Center.
The crash happened around 4 a.m. Sunday on Whistlevale Drive near 76th Street. Kent County Sheriff investigators tell 13 On Your Side they believe the man was speeding when he crossed the centerline and hit a parked car along the road. The driver was the only person in the car.
First responders on scene started life-saving measures, and he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. His current condition is unclear.
Officers believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
