POLKTON CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two girls have serious injuries after an ATV Crash in Polkton Township on Sunday, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
OCSO said around 2:10 p.m. crews were dispatched to a crash at 7574 Wilson.
Deputies said the investigation shows that two girls, a 12-year-old from Grand Rapids and an 11-year-old from Indianapolis, were riding in an ATV side-by-side vehicle.
The ATV was being driven by the Grand Rapids girl and it turned too fast and rolled over on both girls, OCSO said.
Deputies said the Indianapolis girl was thrown from the ATV.
Both girls were taken to the hospital was serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, OCSO said.
The crash remains under investigation.
