2 hospitalized after being ejected from vehicle in Ionia crash

A 38-year-old woman driver and a 14-year-old passenger were ejected from a vehicle after a crash in Ionia County Wednesday according to the Ionia County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said the crash occurred on Stage Road, near Luce Road, when a car traveling westbound on Luce failed to yield to southbound traffic on Stage Road.

The car traveling westbound collided with a vehicle heading southbound, causing the southbound vehicle to overturn and ejecting the 38-year-old driver as well as partially ejecting the 14-year-old passenger.

Both were brought to a Grand Rapids area hospital with serious injuries, while the at-fault driver was only minorly injured and was treated at the scene.
