OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Multiple people suffered injuries from a three-vehicle crash in Jamestown Township Sunday afternoon.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, police were sent to a three-car crash at 32nd Avenue and Greenly with initial reports of three injuries and two people unconscious.

Following an investigation, deputies say a VW Beetle driven by an 18-year-old man from Detroit was traveling westbound on Greenly and didn't stop at the stop sign at 32nd Avenue. He was then hit by a GMC truck driven by an 18-year-old from Hudsonville traveling southbound on 32nd Avenue.

Deputies say the impact from the crash caused the Beetle to strike an Equinox driven by a 64-year-old man from Hudsonville who was stopped on Greenly, waiting to turn southbound onto 32nd Avenue.

When the cars crashed, the truck rolled over on the west side of the road, deputies say.

According to deputies, the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The driver of the Equinox and his passenger, a 64-year-old woman from Hudsonville, weren't injured. The driver of the VW Beetle and his passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Caledonia, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The intersection was temporarily closed while the crash was investigated and cleaned.
