GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — No one was hurt overnight Sunday along 36th Street in Grand Rapids, the Grand Rapids Fire Department said. But three vehicles were damaged.
Around 1:30 a.m., firefighters were called to the 1000 block of 36th Street for a report of a vehicle on fire.
When crews got there minutes later, they found three vehicles on fire.
The fire investigator responded, and asked the Grand Rapids Police Department to check out the scene.
Ultimately, investigators determined the cause of the fire was the result of an arson.
A second fire overnight Sunday on Swansea does not appear to be related, the GRFD said.
