GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Four people are in the hospital after a serious crash between a car and a school bus on Friday morning, according to the Michigan State Police Sixth District.
MSP posted about the crash on X around 10:30 a.m. and said it happened on southbound US-131 north of Burton.
According to MSP, through the initial investigation and witnesses, it was determined that a Ford Fusion was traveling at a high speed and lost control at Burton. The vehicle then clipped a school bus and went off the road.
MSP said all four occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries.
Troopers said there were no children in the school bus when the crash happened. The driver was not injured.
Troopers from the Grand Rapids post investigated the crash.
