8-year-old, 15-year-old hurt in Muskegon Heights shooting

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — A child and a teenager are recovering after a shooting in Muskegon Heights Monday night, police say.

It happened around 9:47 p.m. in the 2100 block of Reynolds Street. 

When police arrived, they found an 8-year-old and a 15-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Both were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Muskegon Heights Police Department Detective Bureau is asking anyone with information to contact (231) 733-8900 or Silent Observer at (231) 722-3751.
