ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — An Allegan County man was sentenced Monday for leaving an infant in a running bathtub and attacking two women back in 2022.

Nathaniel Patrick was sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison.

The sentence stems back to 2022, when Patrick was reportedly in a relationship with two separate women. According to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office, Patrick assaulted one of the women, hit her infant, and put the infant in the bathtub with the water running. Patrick then continued hitting the child's mother.

Authorities say both women were strangled and injured in the assault. The child was removed from the water and survived.

The case went to trial in March, where Patrick was found guilty of assault and/or strangulation and one count of domestic violence.

He later pleaded guilty to another assault and/or strangulation charge as well as a second degree child abuse charge that was part of a separate trial.
