GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The 47th Amway River Bank Run is just over a week away and more than 10,000 people are expected to participate.
The run is being held on Saturday, May 11 and features the largest 25K road race in the country, the only 25K wheelchair racing division in the world and a 25K handcycle division.
In addition to these events, participants can compete in a 10K run, 5K run, team competition and 5K community walk on race day.
Amway Junior is also taking place on Wednesday, May 8.
Races will begin at 7 a.m. on the day of the run, starting with the 5K. Here is the schedule for event start times:
- 7 a.m. - 5K run begins
- 7:30 a.m. - 10K run begins
- 7:45 a.m. - 5K community walk begins
- 8:15 a.m. - Handcycle division begins
- 8:16 a.m. - Wheelchair racing division begins
- 8:30 a.m. - 25K run begins
- 8:45 a.m. - myTeam Triumph begins
All races begin at Ottawa Avenue near Lyon Street and finish on Monroe Avenue at Pearl Street.
