Faran and Meryn take ArtPrize

You've seen ArtPrize, but have you seen it through the eyes of a toddler?

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - 13 ON YOUR SIDE's newest morning anchor, Faran Fronczak, enlisted the help of Meredith TerHaar's daughter Meryn to give you a unique look at what makes this 19 day celebration of art so special.

After tossing pennies in the Ford Museum Fountain to wish for a great day at ArtPrize, they headed to Ah Nab Awen Park to check out the red alligators that seem to climb up from the river in the work titled "The World Beneath the City."

Anything you wish at #ArtPrize10 will come true... Trust me... that GRFORD pond keeps its promise 😉 See it Thursday 10/5

Then it was off to the entrance of the Ford where Meryn was excited to get up close and personal with the bronze cat that sees itself in the mirror as a lion. That piece is titled Dare to Dream Big.

They stepped inside the Ford to meet the artist who created a incredible painting on the windows of the Ford's entryway. Meryn was thrilled to find purple butterflies among the cherry blossoms in the piece named "Flutter."

Off to the Gillette Bridge they went to visit the Oscillation interactive installation. The artist describes the work as "crystal like forms appear as if they are growing from the bridge creating an immediate visual attraction."

Last stop -- an installation called "Between the Waves" at the Westside Project. The two stepped inside the flowing pieces of fabric as artist Ahmed Hamid started the fans to create the look of waves flowing from floor to ceiling.

Tomorrow morning, Faran & Meryn take #ArtPrize10! Can’t wait for you to see this festival through the eyes of a 2-year old
