Here's what we know.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police are asked you to avoid an area of the city due to a barricaded suspect situation Tuesday afternoon, they announced via X. The area has since reopened.

Multiple units were on the scene of Leonard Street NW between West End Avenue NW and Parmelee Avenue NW. That's on the northwest side of the city near Sandy's Donuts and St. Ann's Home.

Anyone driving through the area was asked to find an alternate route.

Authorities said a man was stabbed and a female suspect is barricaded inside the home.

The ordeal happened around 2:30 p.m., and police worked for hours to coax the woman out.

She was arrested without incident. The road reopened at 6 p.m.
