GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Soon, you'll be able to get your favorites from Bell's Brewery while waiting for a flight at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

The new addition is expected to open on Concourse B, where it joins other options like Firehouse Subs and the MI Tap Room.

While the airport location won't offer a full Bell's Brewery menu, it will still have favorites like Oberon and Two Hearted Ale. There will also be small bites, snacks and seasonal options available.

Along with providing West Michiganders with a classic brew ahead of their flight, officials with the Ford Airport said the addition serves to show travelers what Michigan has to offer.

“Since opening in 1985, Bell’s Brewery has been a beloved staple in our community,” said Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority President and CEO Tory Richardson. “With an average of 10,000 passengers coming through our terminal daily—some of whom are first-time visitors to West Michigan—we are excited to showcase the vibrant local flavors of our region and hope all our travelers can enjoy the diverse options available to them.”

This isn't the first West Michigan-based restaurant the Ford Airport has added. Back in July, Uccello's Ristorante opened their smaller location inside the airport.

With Bell's Brewery based in Kalamazoo, officials said they're excited to expand into West Michigan.

“Bell’s is proud of our Michigan-based roots and we’ve loved being able to bring exceptional craft beer to our communities for nearly four decades. Through this partnership, Michiganders on the west side of the state can now experience Bell’s at new occasions,” said Bell’s Executive Vice President Carrie Yunker.

The location is set to open over the winter, though a specific date was not given.
