GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The City of Grand Rapids is sharing the results of the second round of testing water samples taken at the site of a water main break which occurred June 13.

The June 13 break left around 200 homes in Grand Rapids without water service. The affected area includes Adams Street SE – Fuller Avenue SE to Cambridge Drive SE., Edward Avenue SE – Adams to Boston Street SE, Sylvan Avenue SE – Adams to Boston St., and Philadelphia Avenue SE – Adams to Boston.

You can find a map of the affected area here.

Once service was restored, residents in the area were placed under a boil water advisory while the city runs tests to determine if bacteria was able to make its way into the water supply.

The first round of tests, shared Saturday, showed negative results. The city said the negative result is a "positive sign" as it points to no bacteria being in the water. After the second round of testing also came back negative, the advisory was lifted Sunday morning.
