FERRYSBURG, Mich. — Crews from several West Michigan fire departments were called in to assist in battling a house fire along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The house fire call came in around 2 a.m. Saturday morning at a home in the 19000 block of North Shore Drive in Ferrysburg, near Crosstown Lane.
Dispatchers confirm that everyone made it out of the home OK.
Several fire departments were called to either assist in fighting the fire or cover for fire departments battling the blaze.
It took firefighters a little over 3 hours to get the flames and hot spots under control.
Dispatchers say because of the fire trucks that will continue to be in the area, you should avoid North Shore Drive Saturday morning.
Fire investigators have not released a cause of the fire as of early Saturday morning.
