SPRINGFIELD, Michigan — Two people are injured after a bystander attempting to help a crash victim was hit by a passing vehicle, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said around 10 p.m. on Tuesday they were called to a crash with a trapped driver at the intersection of W Dickman Road and 24th Street.
While attempting to help with the crash, a bystander was hit by a bright green Dodge Charger which then fled the scene, deputies said.
According to troopers, the entrapped driver from the first crash and the bystander were taken to local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Charger hasn't been identified yet.
