Betty Ford's 98th birthday was celebrated today, Wednesday, April 13, with a luncheon at the Meijer Gardens.
The annual luncheon recognizes all of the accomplishments the first lady made during her lifetime.
ABC news political analyst, Cokie Roberts, attended the event as the keynote speaker, who was a close friend of Betty Ford.
Susan Ford Bales was also at the event, and she spoke about her mother's battle with breast cancer and her commitment to making sure women got the care they needed.
