DEVELOPING | Crews extinguish Grand Rapids house fire

A 13 ON YOUR SIDE crew at the scene says over a dozen fire trucks were at the home on the westside.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A fire is out at a home that caught fire in Grand Rapids late Monday night.

The fire broke out on the 100 block of National Avenue SW. That's a residential street on the city's westside.

A person who witnessed the fire break out says the first firetruck showed up around 10:20 p.m. Our crew at the scene said crews had extinguished the fire well before midnight.

When a 13 ON YOUR SIDE crew first showed up, smoke was pouring out of every window.

It's unknown if anyone was inside when the fire started or if there were any injuries. It's also unknown what caused the fire at this time.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
