CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. — Deer Tracks Junction Adventure Park announced it will officially open for the season on Saturday, May 25.
The park said in a Facebook post that it's "baby season" and they can't wait for visitors to come meet the newest additions.
The announcement comes a week after the family shared that 27-year-old Tyler Powell, the son of the owner of Deer Tracks Junction, passed away from his injuries.
On April 19, Kent County deputies responded to Deer Tracks Junction Adventure Park just after 3:30 p.m. The initial report said Tyler was on a ladder in the giraffe enclosure when the giraffe hit the ladder, causing him to fall.
He was rushed to an area hospital with severe injuries and died after almost three weeks of fighting for his life in the hospital.
The park said hours and information will be posted on their website soon.
