LANSING, Mich. — FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers are opening in Eaton, Kent and Oakland counties to help residents who were affected by the severe weather on Aug. 24-26, 2023.
The centers will open on Monday, March 11 at 8 a.m.
FEMA specialists and the U.S. Small Business Administration at the centers can help residents apply for federal disaster assistance, upload documents and discover ways to make their property more disaster-resistant.
Most centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Eaton County
- Lansing Community College – West Campus

Kent County
- Henze Community Center

You don't need to visit a recovery center to receive assistance from FEMA.
To apply without visiting a center, call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., go online to DisasterAssistance.gov or download the FEMA App.
The deadline to apply for assistance is April 8, 2024.
