NEWAYGO, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Muskegon River has crested, but flooding is still a problem for hundreds of people living near the Croton Dam.

Drew Orlando shared this aerial video with WZZM 13 on Facebook. The footage was taken by a drone flying over the Croton Dam to Maple Island Road on April 17.

Orlando operates SkyDef Productions out of his Twin Lake home. He built the $4,000 quad-copter "from the ground up". It is run by a flight controller he programmed to give the best results for aerial videography.

Orlando grew up along the Muskegon River. He says "it was a humbling thing to witness...such a sad situation for so many."
