All week long, the WZZM 13 Morning News team has been sharing their favorite reads and encouraging viewers to do the same.
But, did you know neighborhoods are taking steps to promote literacy as well? Little Libraries have been popping up all around West Michigan.
The concept: a free book exchange for both children and adults.
After retiring from the Grand Rapids Library, William Hill of East Grand Rapids set up his own little book exchange in his front yard. He says he stocks his library with new reads weekly.
"If you're a bookie, you are always looking for something you haven't found before," Hill said.
